Anonymous asked: Record in mlb is ten, by Tom Seaver, who has come up with 9? Dodger pitcher did it yesterday, how many more?

Rick answered: Thank you for your question.

Tom Seaver is the record holder for consecutive strikeouts in a game, with 10.

Aaron Harang was the Dodger pitcher who recently recorded 9, and is currently the only one with that many.

The list below are those who have recorded 8:

1. Roger Clemens, when he was with the Red Sox.

2. Ron Davis, when he was with the Yankees.

3. Nolan Ryan recorded 8 twice, both while he was with the Angels.

4. Blake Stein, when he was with the Royals.

Yours in baseball,

Rick
