Hannah asked: What is the player called who teams up with the pitcher on every team? For my baseball crossword puzzle homework in PE.

Sorry I am so long answering, I have been out of town. Probably too late to be of help; but here it is.

That player is called the catcher. In the picture above, the catcher is the one directly behind home plate, who is in front of the umpire.
