The Ole Ball Game

by Coach Todd

Split team into two. one in field, one at bat. All batters wear helmets. Batter gets one swing off tee. batted ball is live. If foul he is out. Next batter must be in the box in ten seconds. Coach counts down. Three outs and switch but coach starts countdown from 10 for first batter. Players must play a different position each inning. In the span of 30 minutes, we often get 8 maybe 9 innings in. We'll have more than 30 balls in play. I find it is a great way to end the practice and the kids love it.
